This was taken on the front steps of the farm in Wisconsin. Early 1940's. We lived on the farm long enough for Sam to attend first and some of second grade. Aunt Jen and her husband, Lester lived there with us. Mom and Dad had an apartment in Chicago and were there only sporadically.
